Julie Chen Moonves is the host of the 22nd season which premiered on CBS 5 August 2018. Chen Moonves served as moderator, and was one of the original hosts on The Talk. She won the Daytime Emmy Award for her work. In the year she began writing that her passion for writing was revealed. Hosting an outstanding entertainment talk show earned her a second Emmy. The Talk examines contemporary events using the perspective of five female hostesses. Chen Moonves hosted CBS News' early morning news show The Early Show for a 10 years. Prior to that, Chen Moonves was the CBS Morning News' anchor, and also the anchor for news for The Early Show. Chen Moonves was sent to Cairo after the 9/11 attacks. She went down and interviewed the father who commanded hijackers for an eye-opening and interesting interview. Chen Moonves was Koppel's co-worker on Anatomy of a Riot (the Premiertime Special of Columbia du-Pont that looked at what happened during the Los Angeles riots of 1992).
